My name is Rayden Mizzi. I am student at MCAST of Creative Arts in Mosta. I study diploma in Media. 

 

My hobbies are church bells, Maltese Folklor, asking people that make traditional unique things and Media (Editing, Sound and Photography).

 

During the MCAST course of Media we have aimation. For me this is my first time experience;  I never had animation and how have to make charactor to move or to run, for example.

 

For my Animation I decided to make someting different from others and I decided to make Animation for spesific Great Siege.

 

In History of Malta  we read that in the year 1565, Malta  experienced the great siege between Maltese People and Knights of Malta  on one side, lead by  grand master La Vallette  and  The Ottoman forces . This siege  happened in the Grand Harbour and Marsamxetto Harbour, and focused on Vittoriosa and Senglea, the seat of the order of Saint John and where their ships were kept.

 

For my Animation I will make almost the same but different aspect. During this Vocational Unit of Animation the emphasis is that we need to create a charactor that is Super Hero. 

 

I decided to choose the Grand Master La Vallette because thanks to him Malta servived this seige by  Ottoman Turkish Empire. In fact today exists other phenomenon  namely Social Media. Social Media are  good  and are widely they used by many people of alllages. But sometime this leads to people being fixed on social media in such a way that they forget what they're seeing around them.

 

In fact most young people tend to forget that there are other persons around them  but remain focused on the screens of mobile phones, P.C. and computer.

 

My animation will be divided into two groups namely TRADITION (group of people that practice the traditional live) vs THE NEW TECHNOLOGY (group of people that convert people from tradition mentality to like using Facebook and Twitter)
